The faithful message I have sent unto thee
Ponder, ponder, ponder over this message
A message of hope and of peace
The path of truth, the path of life

Among the cities that Apostle Paul visited in his missionary work was Berea. Other cities include Thessalonica, Athens, Corinth, and Antioch among others. However, the brethren in Berea were noted for some things, which we are to learn from that were not observed in other cities visited. The features include:
i. Open-mindedness to receive the Word: The brethren in Berea did not assume that they were perfect or have reached a particular height in the knowledge of God. Instead, they were receptive to the Word of God, and did not lock the gates of their heart.
ii. Great eagerness for the Word: The brethren at no point in time stayed back at home when it was time for bible study. They were anxious to hear the Word of God. Their promptness and punctuality can never be questioned. They daily panted for the Word.
iii. Personal study of the Word: Aside from the two features earlier cited, the Berea brethren did not stop where Paul ended in the church. On getting home, they will do an individual research of the scripture to verify all what Paul taught them. They studied the bible more at home than in the church.
Beloved, how open minded are you to the Word or have you become rigid to some doctrines? Are you usually placed under compulsion when it is time for Bible study? How much personal study time do you have? Is your Bible only opened when in the church? May God help you to make amends where necessary in Jesus' Name. Amen.

THEME: SEEKING FOR MORE FORCES?
REFERENCE TEXT:
"The Lord said to Gideon, the men you have are too many for me to give them victory over the Midianites. They may think that they had won by themselves, and so give me no credit"
- Judges 7:2 (GNB)
REFERENCE HYMN:

Ma beru, ma beru”
“Fear ye not, fear ye not
Fear ye not, fear ye not
Jesus Christ the conqueror in Heaven
For we member of Celestians Church
Fear ye not, fear ye not”- CCC Hymn 458
At the call of Gideon, God specifically revealed to him his mandate and assured him of help.
JUDGES 6:16 (GNB):
"The Lord answered, you can do it because I will help you. You will crush the Midiantes as easily as if they were only one man"
Peradventure, Gideon forgot this divine backing and when the battle came, he gathered multitude for the war. God however told him, reassuring him that the success of the battle is not a function of his forces. This is drawing our attention to a very important issue here that when God calls a man, He has already bestowed on him all that is needed for that man to be victorious. So far the man has yielded to the call of God, he should not bother himself with those things that will seem as if he is trying to help God. This is to give you a consolation that you are good to go to fulfill destiny. Do not delay the call of God by thinking that you still have to gather more physical forces before stepping into divine mandate. It is well with you in Jesus' Name. Amen. Know that all things have been prepared. See it in that light and surely you will fulfill destiny in grand style in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Prayer point: Oh Lord, help me to believe in that singular force from you to fulfill destiny in Jesus' Name. Amen.

"Let us unite, let us unite
With holy tender love,
Let's pray to God every moment
And pay respect to our King and Lord
And wash each one another's hands.
With holy love divine"- CCC Hymn 773 stanza 1
Though, each and everyone of us will give our account before
God, it is still very important to strengthen ourselves in the race
we have been called to. Just like athletes will rehearse together
before a race, so also as believers, we are to strengthen one
another just as iron sharpens one another (Proverbs 27:17). One
of the ways to achieving this is not to despise our meeting
together as believers.
HEBREW 10:25 (GNB):
"Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are
doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since
you see that the day of the Lord is coming nearer"
It is therefore important to sharpen ourselves. In our reference
text, we read of Jesus Christ issuing a command to Peter that
he must strengthen his brothers! Are you only concerned about
your heavenly race? How many people are you showing the way
to the Father? This call is for us as individuals and as a church.
As a pastor, is your church more of money making than soul
wining? There is a reward and prize for you if you devote
yourself to this (Daniel 12:3). Win as more soul for Christ as he
will be helping you. Your desire should be to populate the
kingdom of God while you depopulate the kingdom of the devil.
May God strengthen you in this regard in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Prayer point: Oh Lord, as you will be strengthening me, grant me
the grace to strengthen others in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

of you to separate the good from the bad as a farmer separates
the wheat from the chaff"- Luke 22:31 (GNB)
REFERENCE HYMN:
"Igba ewu, igba idanwo
Gba wa Oluwa awa

"In perilous times, in temptation times
Save us all oh our dear Lord
It is unto thee we belong"- CCC Hymn 803
There comes a time when a man will be subjected to hard
testing which is to know how strong his allegiance is to the faith
that he professes. Just as Jesus Christ was tested before his
ministry started, so also Satan will test anyone who is on the
verge of similar feat. Aside from that reason, Satan also can test
a man to know whether he is good or bad. Ensure therefore that
your stand with God, so that when separation comes, you will
fall in the category of the wheat.
Know that in your walk with God, daily separation will come, but
you must hold on to Him and be very consistent. May God
strengthen you greatly in this regard in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Your goodness to your fellow man and faithfulness to God will
be tested severely. It may be through some difficult moments or
trying period, but just like Job whose loyalty was tested, keep
looking on to Jesus when you are in such a situation. May God
grant you victory over all tests in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Prayer point: Oh Lord, at the time of my testing, let me be
separated as a wheat in Jesus' Name. Amen.

I will not be moved
Jesus lives for evermore
I shall not be moved
Just like the tree standing beside the river

As believers, it is important for us to understand the existence of a peculiar habitation that God has prepared for every man (Deuteronomy 32:8). However, most people are unconscious of this. God will in fact hardly spare anyone who leaves or abandons his habitation for somewhere else.
In our reference text, we read of the angels who by reason of omission left their assigned dwelling and they had no second chance to return. We were told that as a result of this, they are bound with eternal chains in the darkness below, where God is keeping them for that great Day in which they will be condemned. Beloved have you migrated from where God has positioned you. Please note that it may not necessarily be a permanent migration, as a temporary migration is enough to wreck havoc. The story of Elimelech readily comes to mind here. He only left Judah for Moab during a period of famine but never returned as he died there (Ruth 1:1-4). May God keep you firm in your habitation in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Do not despise this message as it is not a popular one, but instead believe and quickly come to the understanding that there is a set boundary for your existence. There may be every reason to leave your habitation but hold on to where you are, as a period of harvest looms.

The epistle of Jude was written to encourage God's people and to warn them against false doctrine and teachers that have become popular. The excerpt from the message which is our reference text was where Jude encouraged the believers to keep fighting on and contending for the faith. That is, at no point in time should they relax or not to be on the watch. What does it means to fight for the faith?
i. To hold on to the basics of the Christian faith which is rooted in the love of God for mankind as shown by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and realizing that you have been death to a life of sin and have been made alive unto righteousness.
ii. Not to entertain any addition to the instruction that Jesus Christ gave by not serving God the way the ungodly serve their gods.
iii. Not to negotiate or compromise on the biblical principles of consecration, holiness and love.
iv. To be ready to be faced with oppositions while willing not to conform yourself to the world.

Kanye West Publishes His Own Version Of The Bible “THE BOOK OF YEEZUS!
While Kanye West is seen as something of a holy figure in
the world of music, he now has his own scripture to go
along with his obsession with deification — The Book Of
Yeezus.
The book is based on The Book of Genesis and the word
“God” has been replaced with “Kanye” or “Yeezus”. As
blasphemous and offensive this book may appear to be, the
creators argue that it’s only an “editorial art piece.”
Other big-name artists mentioned in the same capacity as
Yeezy include Marilyn Monroe, and Michael Jackson.
Here is how the author describes it:
Each generation champions a superstar, so consistently
relevant that they come to accompany that generation
through it’s evolution, being a part of and ultimately shaping
its identity. Such past icons have been the likes of Frank
Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon, or Michael Jackson.
For this generation, Generation Y, Kanye West is not only its
greatest spectacle, but in some senses, a spiritual figure.
We are here to spread a doctrine. Well, a pseudo-doctrine.
We ask you to use your pulpit for Good.
A few months ago, my brothers and I embarked on a
creative journey that began with a “What If?”:
What if the Bible, the most singularly significant publication
in the ancient canon of Western tradition, were updated to
reflect our modern society? What would it look like? What
we came up with was an interventionist art, coffee-table
novelty, that will appeal to both Kanye fans everywhere and
those made curious by this enormous cultural phenomenon.
At it’s simplest, it is the book of Genesis, modified to feature
“Kanye” or “Yeezus” in the place of God or Y—A. “In the
beginning Kanye created the heaven and the earth… And
Kanye said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
In a sense, Kanye’s awesome and orchestrated spectacle is
truly a religious experience. In a foreword, we explore our
consumerist, quick-fix, and information-culture, and
celebrate Kanye and the outsized significance he plays in
our lives. All of this, bound in a black, hard-cover gold-leaf
imprinted book.
We present to you the Book of Yeezus

7 Ways You Can Successfully Balance Life and Work As An Entrepreneur ……
As an entrepreneur, one of the most important things you
can do for your success is establish an effective life-
business balance. When I started my business, I ate, slept
and breathed work.
From my career as an athlete, I knew the value of hustle and
hard work. So, I set my mind to building something
successful, and in turn, it became all I thought about, 24/7.
In the meantime, my health suffered. My relationships
became strained.
I was anxious and distracted. When I realized I had gained
an extra 30 pounds, I knew I needed to do something
different. You don’t need to figure it out the hard way, like I
did.
Take these tips into consideration while you set up the
structure of your business. I have found I am more effective
and productive when I take the extra time to follow a
regimen of self-care and life-business balance.
It may take some tweaking for you to find the right
prescription, but here are some of the things that are
working for me:
1. Stay healthy It’s hard to inspire and enroll others when
you aren’t healthy. No matter what kinds of sales you’re
bringing in, if you’re not taking care of your body, it’s not a
sustainable plan.
Put self-care high up on your priority list. Exercise and eat
right.
2. Meditate Meditation is massive. Since I started practicing
this regularly again, my anxiety, focus and productivity have
all improved. Plus, it’s helpful when you’re managing a lot.
Don’t worry about doing it the “right” way. There are plenty
of methods, so keep trying until you find one you enjoy. It
should be restorative; some people just follow their
breathing, and others use guided meditation. If you have a
busy and anxious mind, I recommend starting with a guided
track.
3. Be clear on your vision Most of the problems people have
with getting what they want comes from lack of clarity.
Figure that out first, then go after it. Maybe you aren’t clear
on your vision yet. If this is the case, I recommend writing
down what your perfect day would look like: What is it you
ultimately want to feel each day? Remember, you don’t have
to have perfection to start; just go in the direction of your
dreams and take things one step at a time.
4. Be discerning Know that some opportunities are just
distractions in disguise. There are way too many good
things to go after these days. Stay focused on your mission
and say no to pretty much everything else.
5. Stay positive Replace negative self-talk with gratitude.
This is a huge issue for most of us, but you have the power
to free yourself from the cycle of beating yourself up. Start
practicing gratitude every time you want to criticize yourself.
We waste more time worrying and complaining than it would
require to just handle our problems.
6. Rest and restore No matter how hard you push, you will
hit a wall if you don’t take care of your mind and body. So
much of what my guests and I talk about on The School of
Greatness podcast is how to show up. There’s no way
around it: If you want to be great, you have to show up,
make connections happen and then follow up.
This is a huge part of success. But, equally important is the
opposite: resting up. This includes unplugging from your
phone and social media for a weekend. Your body and soul
need to recharge.
Go outside and be in nature. Sleep. Read a book. Take a
leisurely stroll with no destination in mind. These are the
down times you need in order to stay focused when it is “go
time” again.
7. Fill up your cup Having said that, you absolutely need to
make time for fun, family, friends and fulfillment. It is no
good being a lone ranger. Set your office hours and do your
best to adhere to them while taking regular time out to
unplug.
Play your guitar that’s gathering dust or pull out the old
tennis racket for a match. Take a walk on the beach. Just
remember, you are a human being, not a human doing. The
more balance you have in your business and life, the more
successful you will be.

an extra 30 pounds, I knew I needed to do something
TREM’s Bishop Mike Okonkwo rewards famous airport cleaner with N12million
General Overseer of the The Redeemed Evangelical Mission
(TREM), Bishop Mike Okonkwo has today rewarded the
famous Airport cleaner Miss Josephine Ugwu who found
N12Million and returned it to the owner.
The pastor has reportedly rewarded her with N12Million.
Prior this the Lagos State House of Assembly, last Monday,
concluded plans to invite and honour her. And her
employers increased her salary from a paltry N7,800 to
N15,000 per month.
And in her words, “FAAN (Federal Airports Authority of
Nigeria) said that they are going to give me automatic
employment, but I have not heard from them till now.”
Apparently this isn’t the first time Miss Josephine will be
returning lost and found money as she has done so twice in
the past and has never been rewarded even by the owners
of the lump sum of cash.
Bishop Mike during a church service rewarded her for her
honesty in front of thousands of church goers.

THEME: Come To Me
Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.
—John 20:29
Charlotte Elliott wrote the hymn “Just As I Am” in 1834. She
had been an invalid for many years, and though she wanted
to help with a fund-raiser for a girl’s school, she was too ill.
She felt useless, and this inner distress caused her to begin
doubting her faith in Christ. She wrote “Just As I Am” as a
response to her doubt. The crux of her distress is perhaps
best expressed in these words:
Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come!
Three days after His death and burial, Jesus rose from the
grave and invited the disciple whom history has nicknamed
“Doubting Thomas” to examine the marks of His crucifixion
(John 20:27). When Thomas touched Jesus’ wounds, he
finally believed in the resurrection. Christ responded,
“Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed.
Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have
believed” (v.29).
As Christians today, we are the ones who have not seen but
still believe. Yet at times our earthly circumstances create
serious questions in our souls. Even then, we cry out: “Lord,
I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24). Jesus welcomes us
to come to Him just as we are.
Dear Jesus, help me to trust You when life doesn’t make
sense. Please take my doubt and replace it with fresh faith
in You.
The risen Christ opens the door for you to have fullness of
life.
INSIGHT: The world remembers Thomas the disciple for his
statement of doubt about Jesus’ resurrection. However, it
was also Thomas who showed more loyalty to Christ than
many of the others. When the Pharisees were actively
seeking to kill Him, Jesus said to His disciples, “Let us go to
Judea again” (John 11:7). Thomas is the one who said, “Let
us also go that we may die with Him” (v. 16).
Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.

Naira set to rise futher this week
The naira will rise further against the dollar on the parallel market this week, analysts and foreign exchange dealers have predicted.
They argued that the peaceful outcome of the presidential election and the hard stance of the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, against corruption and economic leakages had boosted investor confidence in the economy.
The naira, which fell to a record high of 228 against the greenback before the election, rose to 210 on Friday.
However, the local currency traded within the 199-199.50 band on the official interbank market, where it has been stuck since February, after the Central Bank of Nigeria pegged the rate.
The Acting President, Association of Bureau de Change Operators of Nigeria, Alhaji Aminu Gwadabe, told our correspondent he expected the local currency to rise further this week and beyond.
Gwadabe, who said the naira had firmed to 204 against the dollar on Thursday, believe the trend would continue this week, adding that “the naira may appreciate to something below 197 currently at the interbank market.”
Foreign exchange dealers said the demand for dollar had reduced compared to what happened before the presidential election.
A currency analyst at Ecobank Nigeria, Mr. Kunle Ezun, had said the market was trading around the general elections and Buhari’s person.
He had said, “The market has been trading around sentiments and emotions, this is why the naira is appreciating; nothing has really changed in the fundamentals. There was high demand for the dollar before the election because some people predicted post-election violence. Now, the game is over and there is no violence. So, the demand for the greenback is abating.
“The market is also trading around the sentiment that Buhari will fight corruption, strengthen institutions and eliminate wastages. But after his inauguration, the market will trade around the fundamentals like the oil price, external reserves and others.”
In a sign of relief, individuals who had stockpiled dollars to hedge against political risk fearing the election could be marred by violence, were exchanging their funds for the naira, Reuters reported.
“We are not going to see much of movement in the pricing of the naira at the interbank market until the central bank reviews the present measure which has stagnated the rate,” a dealer said.
The naira-dollar exchange rate has yet to witness any change at the interbank market.
According to Reuters, the Kenyan shilling is expected to weaken, hurt by negative sentiment after a deadly attack by al Shaabab near the frontier with Somalia threatened its tourism fortunes.
The shilling has lost ground steadily since last year, partly due to a downturn in tourism following attacks by al Shabaab militants. Tourists are a leading source of hard currencies for East Africa’s biggest economy.
The shilling could trade between 92.50-93.20 to the dollar, with a move beyond 93 likely triggering intervention from the central bank, National Bank of Kenya trader, Chris Muiga, said.
Traders said a government bond could lend support to the shilling. Kenya’s central bank has invited bids for a 12-year infrastructure bond worth 25 billion shillings ($270m).
Ghana’s cedi could be buoyed by demand from businesses looking to settle domestic quarterly bills.
The West African currency has weakened by about 11 per cent since January, but looks set to reverse some of those losses, partly helped by a $940m International Monetary Fund aid deal this month that is expected to unlock additional offshore inflows.
“Liquidity has been weak on the local market … and this is likely to hold the dollar/cedi at current levels next week,” Barclays Bank analyst, Michael Akpakli, said.
The outlook points to a firmer Zambian kwacha this week, after the central bank hiked the amount of money commercial banks should deposit with the regulator and as the government plans to resolve a mining tax row with foreign investors.
The Bank of Zambia will raise the statutory reserve ratio to 18 per cent from 14 per cent on Wednesday.
“The increase will reduce liquidity and that should render support to the kwacha,” analyst Maambo Hamaundu told Reuters.
President Edgar Lungu last month directed the finance and mining ministers to adjust royalties on mining firms by April 8, saying the copper-producer could consider temporarily reverting to the less punitive tax regime which was in place in 2014.
Traders predicted a stable shilling on tightening liquidity but some investors were concerned about the impact of a planned increase in government spending.
The Ugandan government is planning to increase spending before the 2016 elections, although the central Bank of Uganda has vowed to use its key interest rate to keep inflation in check.
The shilling traded at 3,000/3,016, weaker than 2,975/2,985 a week ago.
“Liquidity is getting tighter in the market, we see this tightening slowing any weakening of the unit (shilling),” a trader at Bank of Africa, Ahmed Kalule, said.
7 THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU ARE NOT HEARING FROM GOD.
By Bro Omiyale Idowu
Hey,don’t panic; most cases if God is silent there’s a reason why and He’s more than happy to reach out to you. Sometimes life distractions de-sensitize us spiritually, but there’s always a way to get back on track. Here are seven things to bring you closer to the answers you’re looking for.
1)Check your heart: Examine your behaviors and recent attitudes. The heart can get out of check and rebel against the leading of The Holy Spirit. Find areas that need to be dealt with and humbly brought before The Lord.
2) Take your prayer temperature: How’s your prayer life? Have ministry, work and life responsibilities been getting in the way of your alone time with God? Take an honest look at your prayer life and uncover if there has been a breakdown in Heavenly communication.
3) Identify spiritual distractions: What’s changed? The Bible says that all things are permissible, yet all things do not edify and build us up. Check to see if you’ve allowed non-edifying uses of your time into your life. Once identified, bring those areas into submission.
4) Resolve Offenses: Are you holding something against your neighbor or vice versa? God wants us to resolve conflict horizontally before reaching out vertically, “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you…first be reconciled to [them] and then present your offering,” Matthew 5:23.
5) Subdue your flesh: Uh oh, this is usually the last thing we want to do and then start telling ourselves no...but it’s necessary. What physical habits are tugging war against your spiritual life? It could be emotional eating, selfish behavior toward loved ones or not restraining your tongue. This seem small, but they etch away at your spiritual progress in a big way.
6) Ask for backUp: Don’t try to keep face when you know something is wrong. Tell a trusted friend to go to battle in prayer for you. Be transparent about your struggle and let someone help you in your time of need. Playing tough like we never go through anything is prideful and causes us to bear our burdens longer.
7) Petition the father for breakthrough: A broken and contrite spirit will always get God’s attention. Ask God for help to reveal to you what’s going on and how you should respond. His silence could be a way to draw you closer or to highlight a change He desires to bring about. Never panic, His unconditional love is always there for us. But like any good Father sometimes He has to correct us to keep us on the path of life.
Have a great week ahead...
