With holy tender love,
Let's pray to God every moment
And pay respect to our King and Lord
And wash each one another's hands.
With holy love divine"- CCC Hymn 773 stanza 1
Though, each and everyone of us will give our account before
God, it is still very important to strengthen ourselves in the race
we have been called to. Just like athletes will rehearse together
before a race, so also as believers, we are to strengthen one
another just as iron sharpens one another (Proverbs 27:17). One
of the ways to achieving this is not to despise our meeting
together as believers.
HEBREW 10:25 (GNB):
"Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are
doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since
you see that the day of the Lord is coming nearer"
It is therefore important to sharpen ourselves. In our reference
text, we read of Jesus Christ issuing a command to Peter that
he must strengthen his brothers! Are you only concerned about
your heavenly race? How many people are you showing the way
to the Father? This call is for us as individuals and as a church.
As a pastor, is your church more of money making than soul
wining? There is a reward and prize for you if you devote
yourself to this (Daniel 12:3). Win as more soul for Christ as he
will be helping you. Your desire should be to populate the
kingdom of God while you depopulate the kingdom of the devil.
May God strengthen you in this regard in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Prayer point: Oh Lord, as you will be strengthening me, grant me
the grace to strengthen others in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
