Have you prayed today April 17th?

LIVING FOR GOD DAILY DEVOTIONAL
FRIDAY APRIL 17 2015
THEME: SEEKING FOR MORE FORCES?

REFERENCE TEXT:
"The Lord said to Gideon, the men you have are too many for me to give them victory over the Midianites. They may think that they had won by themselves, and so give me no credit"
- Judges 7:2 (GNB)

REFERENCE HYMN:
“Ma beru, ma beru
Ma beru, ma beru
Jesu lajagun segun ‘Ode Orun
Fun awa omo ijo Mimo at’orun wa
Ma beru, ma beru”

“Fear ye not, fear ye not
Fear ye not, fear ye not
Jesus Christ the conqueror in Heaven
For we member of Celestians Church
Fear ye not, fear ye not”- CCC Hymn 458

At the call of Gideon, God specifically revealed to him his mandate and assured him of help.
JUDGES 6:16 (GNB):
"The Lord answered, you can do it because I will help you. You will crush the Midiantes as easily as if they were only one man"

Peradventure, Gideon forgot this divine backing and when the battle came, he gathered multitude for the war. God however told him, reassuring him that the success of the battle is not a function of his forces. This is drawing our attention to a very important issue here that when God calls a man, He has already bestowed on him all that is needed for that man to be victorious. So far the man has yielded to the call of God, he should not bother himself with those things that will seem as if he is trying to help God. This is to give you a consolation that you are good to go to fulfill destiny. Do not delay the call of God by thinking that you still have to gather more physical forces before stepping into divine mandate. It is well with you in Jesus' Name. Amen. Know that all things have been prepared. See it in that light and surely you will fulfill destiny in grand style in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Prayer point: Oh Lord, help me to believe in that singular force from you to fulfill destiny in Jesus' Name. Amen.
